Gorillaz was amazing.

I will never ever forget it. Jamie fucking Hewlett shook my hand. We were front row center. Damon saw us and smiled at us. Twice.

Seriously the best weekend of my entire life.

I still can’t quite piece everything together yet for a journal entry. My head is still spinning. But for now, here’s all the photos/videos I took. The show itself was amazing. Little Dragon and Damon Albarn performing ‘To Binge’ was probably the best moment.

Jamie Hewlett (the man behind the Gorillaz art and Tank Girl) walked past in the VIP area, and as we were in the front I shouted at him and he came over and was kind enough to smile at us and shake our hands for a quick moment. He was with his girlfriend and kid and looked very pleased that we recognized him. I don’t think he expected that at all, especially since he and Paris Hilton walked by at the same time and I shouted out his name instead of hers. I think Paris was quite disappointed. ;) He posed for the girl next to me, but I didn’t have my camera on, so I just tried to take a quick picture before he left. Camera fail, I suppose. Still, a very sweet man that Jamie Hewlett.
